The Lodge at Pico Bonito was aclaimed as one of the premiere eco resort destinations in the world. Building on that success, the owners wanted to develop an adjacent parcel into full time housing to complement the short term visitors to the lodge.

Unfortunately, the Honduran Government was over thrown just weeks before groundbreaking; and the country has never recovered from the turmoil.
