Built just 20 minutes from Vail, CO, for an avid skier and outdoorsman, who also loved to entertain. He wanted the approach to look like an old time log cabin, but gradually reveal itself as a three story manse. The upper levels are log, all beetle killed from local forests, except the massive rafters, which came from the then recent Yellowstone fires.

The downstairs, in the Southwest adobe style, has guest suites, a game room and movie theatre. Wrap around decks, a hot tub, and a full wine cave finish out the house. It remains comfortable year round with minimal energy added.
