It was designed for a site on the outskirts of Phoenix, at the base of South Mountain.

The client was a state senator who lost her seat, moved back to her ranch, and so never built her home.

​

Reminiscent of the Territorial Style, with rammed earth walls and a central courtyard, it was ideal for the desert climate of central Arizona
